Sushi & Japanese Cookery Class

You will learn the art of cooking the perfect sushi rice, master knife and cutting skills, produce some amazing maki using bamboo mats and pick up tips on presentation and plating. Chopsticks skills will be imparted before you tuck into your creations. 

You will be welcomed with a freshly shaken

A refreshing combination of grapefruit juice and cranberry juice topped with chilled fizzy pink lemonade

You will learn:

• Knife sharpening and cutting skills

• Vegetable carving for garnish

• Presentation and plating skills

• How to use a pair of chopsticks

• Proper way to eat sushi

Recipes on this course may include:

• Sushi Rice

• Sushi Vinegar

• Maki 

• California Roll

• Nigiri

• Japanese Sweet Omelette

• Japanese Cucumber Salad

• Soy Glazed Edamame

All served with sushi soy sauce, pickled ginger, wasabi, and a pair of chopsticks!

This is a practical interactive cookery class. Enjoy your creations after the session and bring along some take away containers for any extras to show off your new skills at home!  All the ingredients, equipment, recipes, and a working apron will be provided. Asian tea and cucumber water will be served throughout the class.
