Lilian’s Kitchen Terms and Conditions

By booking a cookery class or private dining experience with Lilian’s Kitchen, you agree to accept these terms and conditions:

Health and safety

 

Cookery Classes

  • All participants should wear shoes that are flat, with non-slip soles, covered toes and of hard wearing material, preferably not canvas.

  • We recommend wearing comfortable and practical clothing. An apron will be provided. We are not liable for any damage that occurs to clothing.

  • Long hair must be tied back in the kitchen.

  • We reserve the right to ask any guest to leave without reimbursement of fees if their behaviour is unsafe or unreasonable in any way.


Food Allergy Advice

 

Some of our food may contain the following allergens:

  • Peanuts, Gluten, Nuts, Soya, Dairy, Eggs, Fish, Mustard, Lupin, Crustaceans, Molluscs, Sesame seeds, Sesame oil, Celery & Sulphur dioxide.

 

Please inform us before booking if you have any of the above allergies, we will try our best to accommodate on a case by case basis. We might, regretfully, not be able to tailor special dietary requirements to public group cookery classes.


For private dining & private cookery lesson experiences, please inform us if you, or any of your guests in the party have any food allergies or special dietary requirements that we should be aware of.  If your guests have allergies to these food allergens and these allergen food are normally served in your household, we will need to discuss precautions to be taken in your kitchen.

Privacy Policy

​

  • Protecting your personal information is our priority and Lilian’s Kitchen will never disclose customer personal information to third parties.

  • We guarantee your details will not be sold for commercial purposes, or marketing companies for the purposes of creating mailing lists.

  • We may from time to time keep you informed of future classes, events, developments and special offers.

  • We will remove your name from the databases upon request.

  • Shout out email by Lilian’s Kitchen will contain the means of allowing you to unsubscribe from that mailing list.

  • Lilian’s Kitchen do not store any customer’s financial details.

Liability

​

  • Lilian’s Kitchen is not responsible for the loss of any personal possessions during a class.

  • Lilian’s Kitchen will not be liable for any injury arising during classes or in your home resulting from the actions or omissions of anyone attending the classes or event which is beyond the reasonable control of Lilian’s Kitchen.

  • Lilian’s Kitchen will not be responsible for, or have any liability to you for accidental damage.

Payment

​

  • We do not take provisional bookings for cookery classes and can only confirm your place on a class when full payment is made at the time of booking.

  • For private dining experiences, we require a 50% deposit to secure your date and the balance payment 7 working days prior to the date of the event.

  • Full payment is required for Dining @ Home at the time of ordering.

Refunds and Cancellations

​

Cookery Classes

  • We do not issue refund for cookery classes cancelled by the customer.

  • If you find that you are unable to attend a class, you are welcome to send someone in your place, you must notify us in advance.

  • If you cancel your booking within 7 days to the start of your class, and we are able to re-sell your place, you can swap for an alternative class of the same value, otherwise you will forfeit any fees associated with your booking.

  • If you are unable to attend a class due to illness or Covid-19, our cancellation policy apply as above.

Private Dining Experience

  • If you need to reduce the number of people attending your private dining experience, we are able to accommodate this given 72 hours’ notice prior to the event. After this point we would have incurred costs for the event and will have to charge the original numbers agreed.

  • We do not issue refunds for private dining experience cancelled by the customer.

  • Bookings cancelled up to 7 working days prior to the event can be swapped for an alternative date, availability permitting.

  • Any cancellations made after this point will be required to be paid in full.

Dining @ Home

  • We do not issue refunds for Dining @ Home cancelled by the customer.

  • Bookings cancelled up to 5 working days prior to the date of dining can be swapped for an alternative date, availability permitting.

  • Any cancellations made after this point will be required to be paid in full.

Gift vouchers

  • Refunds are not available on gift voucher purchases, nor can gift vouchers be exchanged for cash.

  • If you have booked a cookery class with your voucher and are unable to attend, you are welcome to send someone in your place, you must notify us in advance.

  • If you cancel your booking within 7 days to the start of your class, and we are able to re-sell your place, you can swapped for an alternative class of the same value, otherwise you will forfeit any course fees associated with your booking.

In the unlikely event of a cancellation by Lilian’s Kitchen, we will undertake to provide a suitable alternative within a reasonable period of time or make a full refund to you.
